There are many foods and recipes you and your children can cook together. This doesn't mean a young child should cut up your veggies for you. This may happen when they get older, but if you don't start young they may not want to help you later when you need it. Young children can mix things with their hands or even with a spoon if you are watching them. It has been proven time in the kitchen with a child helps them develop in many areas . Not just becoming a good cook, but a wife or husband who can help their spouse in the kitchen provides positive input into a marriage. Once you start, you and your child will love the time together and they may teach you something about life you may have forgotten.
